DATE, LOCATION & STARTING TIME:

Saturday, September 28th, 2019 the Half Marathon will begin at 7:00am and the 5K will begin at 7:15am. The races will begin at the Fern Marketplace.  The Half Marathon route will travel through South Highland, runners will get to enjoy the scenic streets of McCormick, Creswell, Thornhill, Ockley, Unadilla, and Fairfield along the beautiful and challenging course.  There is a 3.5-hour time limit for the half-marathon course.

REGISTRATION:

Half Marathon
Early Registration is $60 through August 23, 2019.
Registration goes up to $70 August 24, 2019 - September 27, 2019.
Race day Registration is $75. 

5K
Early Registration is $20 through August 23, 2019.
Registration goes up to $30 August 24, 2019 - September 27, 2019.
Race day Registration is $35.

T-SHIRTS & RACE PACKET PICK-UP:

Every pre-registered participant will receive an original “Walk-On's Independence Bowl Kickoff K’s” T-shirt. All pre-registered participants of the Half Marathon will receive a medal.

Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum Thursday, September 26th from noon- 6:30 p.m. & Friday, September 27th from 10:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the Race Site an hour before the start of the race.

This is a chip timed race!! 
**Be sure that you get your timing chip race morning at the packet pick up site**
You are responsible for attaching your timing chip to your shoe and returning it after the race.
 
All packets not picked up by the start of the race will be forfeited - NO REFUNDS
 

AWARDS:  

The overall male and female winner of the half marathon will receive a $1,000 cash prize, and the male and female winner from each age group (20 & Under, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over) will win $100. The overall men's and women's winners of the 5K will receive a $250 cash prize, and male and female age group winners will receive $50.

**There will be awards given to the 2nd and 3rd place in each age division, those awards have yet to be determined!**

POST PARTY:

Following the races, runners and spectators can expect a block party atmosphere in the Fern Marketplace, featuring live music, food and drinks, and giveaways.

 
SPECIAL NOTE:

Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation! No dogs are allowed on the course.
