THE ISLE OF EIGHT FLAGS SHRIMP FESTIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED. AS SUCH, WE ARE ALSO CANCELLING THE SHRIMP FESTIVAL RUN. MANY YMCA EVENTS THROUGHT NORTHEAST FLORIDA ARE ALSO CANCELLED. REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

Welcome to the 26th Annual Shrimp Festival 5K Run / Walk Sponsored by DTW Research, Inc! PACKET PICK UP WILL BE FRIDAY AT THE YMCA ON CITRONA DR FROM 7 AM UNTIL 5 PM Race day packet pick up begins at 7 am at the Main Beach Park at Atlantic Ave and N Fletcher Ave. Parking is available nearby

The McArthur Family YMCA staff and volunteers are excited to host the 26th Annual Shrimp Festival 5k Run/Walk to be held on May 2, 2020. This great family friendly event continues to be a staple of our community and the Shrimp Festival weekend. The event starts at 8am with a 5K run follow by a 5k walk and two events for kids, a 1 mile Katie Caples run and .5 mile Popcorn run. Nursery for kids ages 3 to 7 is provided while their parents run. Lots of kid friendly activities like bouncer house, bow and arrow, face painting.

This year, the McArthur Family YMCA will be using the proceeds of the Shrimp Run to support Drowning Prevention Programs throughout Nassau County. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4.Together we can change that. The Y is committed to addressing this issue by partnering with schools and other youth serving organizations to ensure that our children are safe around the water.
REGISTRATION: 5K Run and Walk, $30 until midnight April 24, 2020. Late registration is $35 from April 25, 2020 util May 1, 2020 at 9am when online registration closes
1 Mile Katie Caples Run is $15 at all times and includes a race shirt
Half Mile Popcorn Shrimp Run is only $12 at all times and includes a shirt
5K AWARDS will be presented to the overall male and female winners and the top three in the following age groups10 and Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-290, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and Over
