_ The 2020 Arizona Ultra Run:

Join us on Saturday February 15 for the inaugural Arizona Ultra Run offering 3 different events, 6 hour run, 12 hour run and 24 hour run.  All three events will be available as a team or single runner option.  We hope you can join us on this fun yet challenging event for all runners. The event is family and friend oriented so feel free invite them to support you during this awesome event.  We will offer a great nutritional menu for all our participants and we will have recovery tent, after all this event is for YOU, our participant, and our goal is provide you with the best experience you can have and you will want to come back year after year.

Please read all information below to ensure you fully understand the event and the policies.

Team options

Teams of 2

Each member must run 50% of the total time it does not matter how the time is broken as long as each runner runs half the time.

Event entertainment

We will have music playing during event. During the "Relax Hours" of 10pm to 6am music will be turned down. We will have a designated camp fire where attendees can make s'mores, and you will find games where you can play against others.

Fees

Estrella Mountain Regional Park has the following fees. These fees are separate from the registration fees and will be paid directly to the park upon entering.

  • $15.00 over night camping fee. (includes $7.00 parking fee)
  • $7.00 parking fee.

Recovery

We will have a recovery tent where runners can come and stretch with rollers and other stretching items or use our elevated legs.

  • 6am Bib pickup and Registration opens.
  • 8am 6/12/24 Hour runs start

  • 2pm 6 Hour run ends

  • 8pm 12 Hour run ends

  • 9pm 12 Hour run awards
  • 10pm to 6 am Relax hours
  • 8am 24 Hour run ends
  • 9am 24 Hour run awards

Swag

Each registered participant will get the following items.

6 Hour Run

  • Finisher shirt - Shirts will be given once the event is completed.
  • Finisher medal

12 Hour Run

  • Finisher shirt- Shirts will be given once the event is completed.
  • Finisher medal.
  • Hat

24 Hour Run

  • Finisher shirt - Shirts will be given once the event is completed.
  • Finisher medal.
  • Hat
  • Fleece vest

Nutrition

We will have a full menu available soon.  We will have two nutrition stations.

  • Station 1 at the Start/Finish area 
  •  
  • Station 2 - Halfway on the 3 mile loop course

Course

The course consist of a 3 mile loop, each loop will be completed at the Start/Finish area.  The entire course is run on a trail. Please be aware that on Saturday evening there is possibility that horse riders will be along the course.  Arizona laws give the right a way to horse riders, please stop or move as far as possible to ensure your safety and the horse rider's safety as well. 

Camping

Teams or individuals will be able to setup a 10x10 tent/camp area along the "recovery loop", please see event layout. Camping/tent setup is first come first serve. See below for the list of items are not permitted on the camp site.  Estrella Mountain Regional park has a $15.00 over night camping fee (includes parking).

    • All music must be turned off or turned down from 10pm to 6am

Distance acceptance

Distance will be validated as follows: Runners must be past the 1/2 point before the end of the time;for example, if you are running in the 6 hour run you must be at the 1/2 way point before 5:59:59.

Refund policy

There are no refunds or transfers, credits etc.  If you are not able to run or attend the event the only way you can get your entry deferred to next years event will be by volunteering on race day.

Awards

Awards will be given in the following categories: Male, Female or Coed, as an individual or team with the most miles completed.

Parking

Estrella Mountain Regional Park has a $7.00 parking fee, please ensure you have exact change for faster entry procedure. Parking will be close by to the camping area.  Please see layout for additional parking areas.( If you are camping over night the $15.00 covers in camping and parking)
