After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone the 2020 Core Sound Run until November 14, 2020.  This is disappointing for me personally as I am not only the co-founder of the race, but also a runner myself.  As you all know, most events around the world have been canceled.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support of our race and of the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center. 

A family-friendly 10K, 5K and Fun Run on one of North Carolina's most beautiful islands -- Harkers Island. The Core Sound Run begins and ends "at the end of the road" - at the edge of Core Sound.

High quality, long sleeve t-shirts provided to each 5 and 10k participant.  Also, prizes provided per age group and overall winners of the 5 and 10k races:

Overall grand prize per age group is a collectible decoy
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prices per age group.
Age groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29,30-39, 40-49,50-59,60-69,70+ (16 prizes per race type/gender)

Packet Pickup: Early packet pickup will be available from 10am-5pm on Friday, April 3 at the Core Sound Museum Store at 806 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC
