LAUREL IS HAVING A SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY!  COME ON OUT TO CELEBRATE 150 YEARS OF THIS WONDERFUL CITY at our 

SESQUICENTENNIAL 5K & FUN RUN!

Proceeds from this event will raise funds for a new Laurel Diabetes Awareness Initiative.

Purpose: Diabetes is life changing! In addition to millions of people diagnosed with diabetes, there are millions unaware that they are diabetic or pre-diabetic. The City of Laurel 150th Anniversary 5K Run/Walk/Fun Walk will raise funds for a new Laurel Diabetes Awareness Initiative. For more information about diabetes go to diabetes.org

5K Details Registration Includes

• Laurel 150th Anniversary 5K Run/Walk and Fun Walk Commemorative T-shirt (must register by March 17, 2020. If you register after March 17, 2020 the Commemorative T-Shirt will not be available.
• A Laurel 150th Commemorative Running Bib for all participants.
• A Laurel 150th Anniversary 5K Run/Walk Finisher Medal

This event will be professionally chip timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing

Race Start/Finish at Alice B. McCullough Field, 8:00 am start time (warmup will begin at 7:40)

Parking is available at the race site and at the Emancipation Park

The Laurel 150th 5K Run/Walk Fun Walk is a RAIN or SHINE event, professionally chip timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing LLC. Participants can run, jog, or walk the entire course. Participants are asked to move to the sidewalk if they are on the course beyond 1 hour - the finish line will remain open.

Wheelchair athletes welcome.

Jogging strollers are permitted but are asked to start in the back of the pack. 

No bikes, scooters, skateboards or other wheeled vehicles.  No pets, please.

Packet pickup to start onsite at 6:30 am. Early packet pickup details to be announced.

AFTER THE 5K

Post festivities to include recognition of the overall male and female runners. First, Second and Third place individual male and female in each 5K division: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, over 70 will receive a ribbon.

No Refunds. This is a rain or shine event!
