ANC Critter Crawl 5k and Yeti Dash

The Alabama Nature Center (ANC) will host the Critter Crawl 5K and Yeti Dash February 22nd! This 5K trail run is like no other! The Critter Crawl is a TRAIL RUN benefiting the ANC education programs that takes runners through a portion of the ANC's 5 mile trail system. Can you beat the Yeti? The Yeti Dash is a 1 mile trail system run. Nature/critter costumes are mandatory for any guests who wish to participate in the Yeti Dash. Any guests who do not dress in costume will not be eligible to win a Yeti Dash medal. One medal will be awarded to the first place finisher in each age group category. This is an all-out race to beat the Yeti, can you survive? While you are here be on the lookout for the elusive Yeti, you just might be able to snag a picture with him! Advanced tickets: 5k - $25.00 1 Mile Yeti Dash - $20.00 Add $5.00 day of race Shirts are guaranteed for participants registering before January 31, 2020. Extras will be ordered but run out fast. 7:30am Registration Station open for packet pickup 8:30am Critter Crawl 5k Race begins 9:45am Yeti Dash begins 10:30am (tentative)  Trophy Ceremony The trophy ceremony will start once the last runner has crossed the finish line and results are in. The Critter Crawl 5k is a Trail run through a portion of the Alabama Nature Center's 5 miles of trails and boardwalks. The trail consists mostly of wood chips, gravel, boardwalks, and some pavement. There may be small sections of the course that are a little muddy or have some standing water on them. We do our best to maintain the course in order to keep water off of the course but due to weather there may be some spots of standing water.

The race will take place at: Alabama Nature Center 3050 Lanark Rd. Millbrook, AL 36054 Please follow event signs and parking team instructions for parking. Parking will be in the pavilion field a short walk from the NaturePlex building where event registration, packet pickup, and the race start are located.

Schedule: Saturday February 22nd 7:30am Registration Station open for packet pickup 8:30am Critter Crawl 5k Race begins 9:45am Yeti Dash begins 10:30am (tentative) Trophy Ceremony The trophy ceremony will start once the last runner has crossed the finish line and results are in. Participants may pick up their race packets Friday February 21st 1pm-5pm. The course will be open that afternoon for individuals who want to see the course prior to the race. Although we cherish our furry friends, the Alabama Nature Center has a NO pet policy at this time. We ask that you leave your pets at home for this race. This excludes service aid dogs.
