_ The 45th Annual Marigold 10K Road Race:
This flat and fast USATF-certified course and Peachtree qualifier (#GA13032WC) is one of the oldest 10K races in Georgia, second only to the Peachtree 10K. The race is also an Official AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event. The race is held as part of the annual Winterville Marigold Festival in Pittard Park. No Dogs allowed in race. 2 hour time limit on the course.
The race is supported by The Athens Track Club Trust Fund.
Event details and schedule
Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:30AM in the picnic pavilion
10K: Starts at 7:30AM
Awards: The 10K overall male and female winner, master’s male and female winner, and first three finishers, male and female, in age groups of 5 year increments will receive awards.
Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.athlinks.com.
Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 4/26/20. Those registering after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments. Stay for the Marigold Festival, they will have music, a parade and vendors.
Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2020 Black Bag Race Series and the Clover Glove Series.
More Info: All runners must be off the course by 9:30am. In case of rain, the race will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
