_ The 2020 Stars Over Starkey 10k & 5k:

We are very excited to bring you our second night event of 2020--the Stars Over Starkey 10k & 5k Runs at Starkey Wilderness Park!

Starkey Wilderness Park is an amazing Pasco County resource that is easily accessible to the greater Tampa Bay area via the Suncoast Parkway, I-75 and SR54--making it convenient for all to come and run with us through the woods.

The paved multi-use trail in Starkey feature some beautiful pine flatwoods, oak hammocks and wetland areas along the way and provides us with a (mostly) flat and fast out and back course for our event.

Stars Over Starkey 10k Run

• Start Time: 8:20pm
• Course: 5k out and back on the park's paved multi-use trail.
• Aid Stations: One at the short course turnaround (about 2.5k) that you will pass twice  and at your far turnaround point (5k)--both with sports drink and water. Unlike many road runs, there will not be an aid station every mile.
• Light Requirement: It is highly recommended that 10k runners race with a headlamp or handheld light.

Stars Over Starkey 5k Run

• Start Time: 8:30pm
• Course: Out and back on the park's paved multi-use trail.
• Aid Stations: One at your turnaround point (2.5k) with sports drink and water. Unlike many road runs, there will not be an aid station every mile.
• Light Requirement: It is highly recommended that 5k runners carry/use a headlamp or handheld light.

Event Parking:

• Main event parking will be in the fields on the right of entering the park. Look for signage and follow volunteer direction.

We encourage you to make a day or a weekend out of racing at Starkey Wilderness Park. There are great paved trails and off-road mountain bike trails--just great places to explore.

6:45pm--Check-in/Day-of Registrations (if not sold out) at the Education Center

8:20pm--Start of the 10k

8:30pm--Start of the 5k

AWARDS will be handed out as they are computed by our timers. There will be no official awards ceremony.
