_ The 2020 Sun City West American 5K Run/Walk:

The Recreation Centers of Sun City West will be hosting an American 5K, Walk/Run on March 28, 2020.

This event will take place at Stardust Golf Course in Sun City West.

The run will begin at 8:00am and the top three finishers in age groups will be awarded medals.

The runners and walkers will enjoy the beautiful golf course scenery, followed by a runner’s breakfast of light refreshments.

The previous run hosted at Sun City West had over 300 participants from our community and it’s been gaining in popularity

Registration will include a logo embossed T-shirt, participation or placement medals, a timed event with chipped race bibs and instant results posted after the race. Following the event, a celebration of the victories and participation will take place immediately following with an awards ceremony.

Children ages 17 and under are FREE!*

*Registration does not include a shirt and participant will be untimed.

Proceeds will be donated to the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation.

• Age Group Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female in each group. We use 5 year age spans. Our age groups are the following:

  • 18-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85 and over.

• Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Snack" (granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)

• Real Time Results and Photos on StartLine Racing's Website or Mobile App (on Apple and Google)
• Event managed by StartLine Racing. Club SLR discounts do not apply.

Race Day Information

Race Day Registration will be available beginning at 7:00am at Stardust Golf Course (map).

We accept cash, check, and credit cards on race day

Cost of registration on race day will be $40.

Pets are not allowed on this course

There will be NO parking available at Stardust Golf Course on race day. Parking will be available Beardsley Park, located at 12755 Beardsley Road (map)

• Please park in the 128th Ave. Parking Lot.
• Shuttles will take runners to the start line beginning at 7:15am. The last shuttle will leave at 7:45am.
• Shuttles will take runners from the finish line/event area back to their vehicles following the event.

Packet Pick-up Opportunities

• Friday, March 27, 2020 at Stardust Golf Course from 4-6pm.

  Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Stardust Golf Course (race location) beginning at 7:00am
