2012 Sombrero Beach Run:

The Key West Southernmost Runners Club welcomes you to the 6th annual Sombrero Beach Run. This is the premier 15K Challenge! 10K Run & 5K Walk Run in the Florida Keys. The 15K Challenge registers you in both the 10K & 5K Run and makes you eligible for awards and prizes in the 15K Category only. Overall prize for the 15K male/female winners is $500 CASH!

If you are looking for a truly special run/walk for your vacation in paradise, this race has it all. Kick off Friday night with a pre-registration party at Sombrero Beach. Music, food and drink will be available. Race day be swept away with entertainment by DJ Tito, runners breakfast, after race lunch, drinks, ice cold beer, custom t-shirts, raffles all at the spectacular setting of Sombrero Beach. Come see for yourself why this is the #1 Running Event in the Florida Keys

Course Info

The course is a USATF Certified flat, urban course on a newly paved trail and road. This flat tropical course begins and ends at the most beautiful beach in the Keys, Sombrero Beach.

Directions

From the north, follow Route 1 to mile marker 50. Take a left (Sombrero Beach Road) at the light between the Publix Shopping Center and the KMart/Winn Dixie Shopping Center. Follow Sombrero Beach Road until the end (approximately 2 miles).

From the south, follow Route 1 to mile marker 50. Take a right (Sombrero Beach Road) at the light between the Publix Shopping Center and the KMart/Winn Dixie Shopping Center. Follow Sombrero Beach Road until the end (approximately 2 miles).
