8th Annual Daws 5K Run for Animals

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

_ The 8th Annual Daws 5K Run for Animals:

Join us for the 8th Annual Run for Animals 5K. This certified 5K race is a unique event open to runners and walkers alike. Participants have the opportunity to bring their dog for a competitive run.* 

The first 300 pre-registered participants receive an event t-shirt. Dogs receive an event bandana.

Healthy snacks and drinks will be provided after the race.

Water stations will be available for participants and dogs throughout and after the race.

All proceeds from the event benefit Danbury Animal Welfare Society.

*For the safety of your dog, please ensure that your dog is accustomed to and can complete a 5K at race speeds. Please do not compete with your dog if your dog does not regularly run a 5K at race speeds.

REGISTRATION: 9:00-10:00 AM for pre-registered and walk-ins (Day of registration fee Adults $40.00)

10:30-race with no dogs

10:40-race with dogs

Course Information:

• Start on School Street
• Make a left onto Wooster Street
• Make a right onto Juniper Road
• Make a right onto Wooster street
• At three way intersection make a left onto Durant avenue
• Stay on Durant Avenue, at Post office make a left onto School Street
• Repeat course, finish on school street.
