Description
The Flint River Academy Key Club will be hosting its 2nd annual
Priceless 5K/1K Fun Run in honor of a FRA family member, Karen Ellington
King. Karen has been diagnosed with a rare type of sarcoma cancer.
Proceeds from the run will help cover the medical costs associated with
fighting this disease
Directions1From Atlanta/Newnan take I-85 South to Exit 41 (Greenville / Moreland) in Newnan. Turn left on Hwy. 41 / 27 Alt. to Greenville. In Greenville, circle 34 of the way around the courthouse and take Hwy 18 / 109 to Woodbury. At the second red light turn right and Lake Meriwether Road is 1 mile on the right.Awards2Overall male/female, Masters male/female and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, in standard age groups for 5K. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female runners for 1K.Course Description3This flat course winds through a quiet neighborhood, wooded park roads and even out on the lake dam. Race begins and ends at the picnic table area. There will be time splits and water stations. Walkers welcomed!
