Come out for a great morning and help out a great cause...Certified race
course, great finish line festival, great shirt, great start to the
holiday season.
Entry Fee & Registration1Registration open through Nov. 27. Registrations afterwards all the way up to race day are welcome, there is no shirt guarantee on the day of the race however. Anyone not receiving a shirt on race day, will have a shirt printed afterwards.Race Day Schedule27:30 am...Packet pick up & late registration begins; 9:00 am...Races startEvent Beneficiary3Ric-Rack Food Bank is the Primary beneficiary for the event. The Ric-Rack mission is to help people in Dawson County in their time of greatest need. They perform this mission through a cooperative relationship with other local charities that help collect goods, screen and qualify applicants and distribute food.Can Food Drive4The race event will be the point at which all the local schools bring in they're food that they've been collecting over the past month. ALL RACERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING A FEW NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS.Kids, Stollers, Scooters, Pets, etc5Everyone is welcome...Faster participants will be lined up in the front, and we'll place everyone from there.Course6Both the 5K & 10K course will be Certified and a Peachtree qualifier. There are two uphills on the 5K course. The 10K course is the same as the 5K course with an added leg. Visit our website for a link to a course map.Awards, Goodies, & Finish Line Festival7Every participant will receive a great race bag. Great door prizes. Awards Ceremony for the 5K Runners will start at 9:45 am, 10k runners at 10:15 am. While waiting participants can walk through the Finish Line Festival full of vendors and fun stuff for everyone to do. There will be an overall top 3 for both men & women, Top 3 masters (40+) for both men and women, as well as age group awards starting at 10 & under, and go up through 65 & over both both races. (scooter riders not eligible)Special Awards8We're adding a 1 mile award...the first person to hit the 1 mile mark wins! There's a 2nd award for the 10K...the fastest 5K split. The first person to cross the 5K point wins!Show your Holiday Spirit9Grab your friends and dress up...we'll be doing some awards for the best seasonally dressed individuals and groups.Teams10Teams are welcome...and they get a discount.
