_ The 2020 Big Run 5k:

In light of the growing concern regarding COVID-19, we will likely need to make changes to The Big Run event on Global Running Day should we find our federal, state, and local officials are still encouraging social distancing in June. The health and safety of the community, our customers, and our employees are our top priorities.

While we are actively working on solutions for alternative plans, we will notify you as things change. In the meantime, we are closing registration.

For the third year, Fleet Feet and Brooks will come together on June 3 to host The Big Run. The annual nationwide 5K brings thousands of runners together on Global Running Day to do what we love most—run.

Packet Pick-up will be at Fleet Feet on Tuesday from 10-6 and Race Day at the race site starting at 4:00 p.m.

Ready to run in the biggest Fleet Feet event ever? Welcome to The Big Run! 

Why The Big Run?

Because we want to bring running to more communities; we want more people to set goals and meet them; we want more people to experience that feeling of accomplishment as they cross the finish line.

Because running changes everything.

Oh, and did we mention there will be prizes?

All results from certified, timed 5K races will funnel into a national leaderboard to determine the overall male and female winners as well as the fastest runners in each age group. Those winners will receive cash prizes.

But it's not just about winning—we will also recognize other runners with unique awards, including:

Common Ground: Finish with the most common finish time for The Big Run, and we'll enter you into a drawing for something BIG!
Middle of the Pack: We'll recognize the male and female who finish in the exact middle of all The Big Run results.
Social Butterflies: We'll thank the two people with the most-engaged social media posts from The Big Run with some pretty sweet prizes. Include #thebigrun, @brooksrunning and @fleetfeetsports in the post to be eligible.

But speed isn't the only thing that counts. We want to see the whole community participate because, seriously, running together rocks. Let us recap the ways: 

• You get to join Fleet Feet communities across the country in doing something we've never done before—a nationally-coordinated 5K race taking place in different locations all on the same day.
• It's on a Wednesday—who couldn't use a mid-week pump-up?
• Every finisher gets a medal. Not just any medal. A very cool, make-your-friends-jealous medal.
• We know some people. And some pretty cool brands (cough, cough, Brooks). Let's just say, we're planning some fun raffle giveaways and category prizes.

The Big Run coincides with Global Running Day and is open to runners of all levels and abilities.
