_ The 2020 BHM 26.2, Half Marathon & 5K:

Get ready to run, Birmingham! It’s time to see what we’ve become.

 Our specialized marathon course is a beautiful run through our city unlike anything you’ve run before. The course showcases Birmingham’s growth, touring downtown, highlighting the new hot spots as well as the traditions the Magic City is known for, before heading into Homewood and Mountain Brook. This one-loop course keeps runners energized as you make your way throughout Birmingham on a course all its own!

Our half marathon course is entirely downtown. It will take you on a tour of the up-and-coming areas of Birmingham passing historic landmarks and so much more of Birmingham.

Runners looking for less mileage are in luck, as BHM features a relay option. Relay teams can run the full course featuring five legs.

Back again this year is the BHM 26.2 5k!

The BHM fun run is a quick stroll around Railroad Park. this event is available for children 14 and under, and children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. New this year the fun run will be free of charge but you must pre-register on run sign up.

We also have an after party for everyone to enjoy right after you cross the finish at Railroad Park! Join us after the race for Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, live music, a bar, a kids zone, and more!

The best part? All proceeds benefit Magic Moments, the only wish-granting organization devoted exclusively to children in Alabama with chronic life-threatening illnesses and Children’s of Alabama. Lace up your shoes and join us October 4th as we run for the children who are chasing a cure.
