In 1972 President Richard Nixon signed into law the landmark legislation of Title IX, with 37 words that changed everything: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."
On June 27, the Richard Nixon Foundation will celebrate this landmark legislation signed by the 37th President of the United States with a 10K run/walk through the streets of his hometown, Yorba Linda, CA. A portion of the proceeds of this run will benefit local women's athletic programs.
