_ The 2020 Union Strides For Scholars 5K:

This year's Strides For Scholars features a NEW course at a NEW location. We will be holding registration and Packet pick up at the Union School, 18 Kinney Hollow Rd, Union, and the race will be held on the roads surrounding the school. 

Race day registration and packet pick up starts at 7:00 AM, The race starts at 8:30 AM. T-shirts for the first 100 runners/walkers registered by July 5th. Awards presented to the overall winners and the top three in the following age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

100% of the proceeds from this race go to the Union School Association Scholarship Foundation. Since the first scholarship award in 1995, the USASF has been assisting Union School students attain higher education goals. To date, 48 scholarships have been awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who are pursuing post-secondary education and have participated in community service activities

-) 5K Course Map

-  The 5K loops around at the guards’ booth near the park entrance and heads north on Bigelow Brook Rd. Runners then take a right onto Park Road near the pumphouse and continue on to turn around near Breakneck Pond. From here they return to the staging area and the finish line.
