_ The 2020 The Rising 5K:

Oviedo Run Club is proud to continue the tradition of The Rising 5k.  RACE COURSE TBD.  

Whether virtually or In-person, THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE!! We will make that decision based on the recommended distancing guidelines at the time of the race.  We will keep registered participants informed as we learn and implement the rules and regulations for future outdoor sporting events.

The course is traditionally an out and back route that runs along the Cross Seminole Trail and past many important Oviedo landmarks.  The trail was once the railroad that helped Oviedo become one of the country's largest supplier of watercress and celery.   This year, we are adding a double loop for those looking for a DOUBLE DARE 10K!!

Come in costume and stick around for the post-race party that will be well attended by local sponsors with free food and fun activities.

Proceeds from the race are being donated back into the community, including HOPE Helps, Inc. and local public school food pantries.

PLEASE BRING A FOOD ITEM AND PARTICIPATE IN THE FOOD DRIVE!!
