_ The 2020 Panther Prowl-aween 5K:

We Are Dwyer Foundation is hosting a 5K race and 1 mile fun walk  Saturday October 31, 2020 7:30 AM at William T. Dwyer high school 13601 North Military Trail

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl 33410 $30 for adults, $25.00 for teacher and $15 for students 5-18

The first 250  participant's  will receive a shirt 

Packet Pick up Friday October 30, 2020  at William T. Dwyer high school 13601 North Military Trail Palm Beach Gardens from 4:00-7:00 PM in front of the football stadium. 

How will the proceeds from this event be used? . 

The Foundation has undertaken to overhaul the school’s 28 year old Media Center, and has committed to raise $250,000 to turn the current space into a state-of-the-art “Panthers’ Den.”  The Foundation envisions a new state-of-the-art facility to serve as the heartbeat of the school and center of student life, and the proceeds raised this year will go towards funding that effort. 

The Panthers’ Den will house a cutting edge “College and Career Center, will possess the latest technology and will create a place for student collaboration, studying and interaction.  The space will also be home to a student coffee bar, and a recreational outlet for games and wellness.  The Foundation has committed to this important project to assist our 21st century learners gain a competitive edge in both college and the workforce. 

The “We Are Dwyer” Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit association which was started by a group of parents, alumni and community leaders in 2013 for the sole purpose of supporting William T. Dwyer High School.  In the years since its inception, the Foundation has accomplished the following:

·   Proposed and underwrote the creation of a “Dwyer App,” available for the first time in 2017

·  Awarded The School District of Palm Beach County’s Bronze MEDAL as a business partner in education--2017

   Began a “Leave a Legacy” Brick Paver Walkway project for graduating seniors and alumni

   Underwrite and manage crowdfunding to help Dwyer teams and clubs to raise money at no cost (helped dwyer organizations raise over

   Fully fund Annually the School’s after school drama club;

·  Provided funds to refurbish the School’s piano lab;

· Subsidized and organized ACT boot camps in 2015;

  Provide support to Dwyer’s homeless students

·  Helped procure a digital billboard for the School

· HOSTED TWO GALAS AND A CASINO NIGHT

  Introduced and convinced the administration to do the first school-wide lip dub (see it on YouTube);

  Working to start a PTSO (Parent/Teacher/Student Organization

  Helped start a school safety task force
