This run begins on your watch for virtual runners and at 0730hrs for our in-person runners.
This race is to celebrate the Independence Day or Freedom Day for African Americans held in bondage by slavery. This holiday commemorates the June 19, 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. state of Texas, and more generally the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans throughout the former Confederacy of the southern United States.
Participants can participate in the 5K, 10K, or 10 Miler.

• 5K, 10K, and 10M top age groups for Male & Female finisher will receive a prize.
• 10M top Male and Female finisher will receive $50
• NO Team Attendance trophy for the group with the largest number of registered participants
• Finisher medals for everyone that crosses the finish line
• Race day registration will include a $10 administration fee.
All race participants that register before June 12th will receive a short-sleeve race shirt with their paid registration*. After this date, shirts and sizes are not guaranteed.
