Ronnie's Run is in memory of my son Ronnie Scrimo who passed away on December 10th 2014. Ronnie was enrolled at Saint Petersburg College; he earned his A.A. and was one semester away from graduating with his Bachelors of Arts degree. He was a member of Phi Thete Kappa. Ronnie was an amazing athlete and runner. He was involved in Tri-Fitness, Orangetheory Fitness and a member at CrossFit Apogee in Apollo Beach, FL. We thank Orangetheory Fitness for being our new Title Sponsor this year!
Ronnie is missed dearly by so many. In his memory, we dedicate this race to Ronnie Scrimo, my son, my running buddy and my best friend. Our mission is to bring awareness and resources to all that struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, to provide resources for addicts and their families. We believe that Christ is the all time healer and can help those in need. Come and run with us! 10 miles, 5 Miles, 5K or be an over-acheiver and compete in our 5Mile & 5K Challenge. A portion of the proceeds will go to Lighthouse Ministries in Lakeland, FL #run4ronnie.
