_ The 2020 Midland Recyclers Star Wars 5K Fun Run/Walk:

Join us on August 22, at the Midland City Forest (2840 East Monroe Road), for a series of events that will transport you into another galaxy...

The One Mile Jedi Training course will be releasing squadrons every 15 minutes from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Try to endure the numerous obstacles along this One Mile stretch with nothing more than your light saber and your fellow Jedi's. Your training will prepare you to battle Luke Skywalker in real life.

The 5K Run brings together a diverse group of Droids, Jedi Masters and troopers of all types to race through the trails of the Midland City Forest Forces with all parts intact promptly at 6:30.

5K All Imperial Walkers begin their journey at 6:35.

This series will never end, the entire duration of our Event, Laser Combat Trooper Training skirmishes will be underway until the Death Star has been defeated.

Need to charge your batteries? The festival area will be well stocked with games, activities and refreshments.

All Proceeds go to benefit the Midland Recyclers, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

Important things to note:

• T-shirts are optional and must be ordered by May 4th to guarantee a shirt in your size.
• 5K participants will receive a participant medal - made from recycled materials.
• Jedi Training course participants will receive a certificate.
• Costumes are encouraged. 
• Participants 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 and older.
• The 5K is a dirt trail and will not be timed.
