Labor Day Mile- Event Overview:
 

Date: Monday, September 7th, 2020.

Event Information: How fast can you run a mile?! Egress Endurance is excited to announce the first year of the Labor Day 1-mile footrace prior to the Labor Day Truck Parade.  This one-mile race is for everyone from the elite runner, to runners and families of all ages! We can’t wait to see you at the starting line for a fun and fast race!

Start Time:

·       8:30 AM Elite Runner Start.

o   *Must run a Sub-5:10 minute mile to register as an “elite runner.”

·       Non-Elite Runner Start will have a staggered “pace” groups starting every 25 Seconds after the elite start.

o   Runners will line up by their estimated mile race pace.

Packet Pick up: (Location announced soon!)

·       Sunday, 9/6/2020 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

·       Monday, 9/7/2020 6:45 AM- 8:00 AM

Registration Cost:

·       $20 without custom Trucker Hat.

·       $40 with custom Trucker Hat.

Prizes:

·       All runners will receive:

o   Labor Day Mile Sunglasses.

o   Custom Labor Day Mile Race-Bib.

o   SWAG from our race sponsors. (SWAG announced as it becomes available.)

·       Top 3 Male and Female Elite Runners will be award with a CASH PRIZE:

·       $50-1st | $30-2nd |$25-3rd.

·       Age group awards for the top-3 male and female runners:

o   14 and Under

o   15-20

o   21-29

o   30-40

o   41-55

o   55-65

o   65+

Course:

·       The one-mile course will start on 12th street and Lincoln Ave. Located next to Hope College. Runners will take one left turn onto 8th street, with a straight shot to the finish line on 8th and Pine Ave.

Parking:  Parking maps will be sent out before race day to best accommodate our racers, spectators and truck-parade participants/volunteers.
