_ The 17th Annual Miles for Smiles 10k,5k & 1 Mile:

Miles for Smiles is going virtual! Grab your shoes, pick your favorite trail, or hop on a treadmill because throughout the month of September, we will be hosting our 17th annual Miles for Smiles 10k, 5k, and 1-mile Fun Run.  Although this event looks a little different this year, your participation will continue to support Cahaba Valley Health Care, a nonprofit organization providing access to quality healthcare for underserved, primarily Hispanic, communities in Jefferson and Shelby Counties. Miles for Smiles not only benefits CVHC, but also allows us as dental students to establish relationships with our local community.

Here's how it works:

1. Register to run/walk the virtual 1 mile, 5k or 10k, and invite your friends to join!

2. Participate in our weekly challenges for a chance to win some incredible raffle prizes!

3. Run/walk the distance on your own or with a friend (socially distant of course) and then submit your time to be added to the Miles for Smiles results leader board. Post a picture of your run to the Facebook group or on Instagram using #milesforsmiles.

4. Give yourself a high five because you finished the race and supported a great cause!
