Celebrate National Recovery Month by supporting men in Grand Rapids!

Exodus Place, the largest transitional housing program for men in Michigan, needs your help in giving a hand up to men in need. "Recovery" can mean different things to different people. For some of our members, it means recovery from addiction. For others, it means recovery from homelessness and a loss of hope. And for some, it means all of the above. By participating in our Annual Fun Run, you can show our men your support by walking with them in their journey to independence.

Become a Runner (Or Walker)!

You can participate in this event remotely by logging your miles in our RunSignUp site over the course of the weekend, but don't forget that our optional in-person kick-off event takes place in the parking lot of our building on the beautiful Grand River on September 25th at 12:00PM (strict health safety and social distancing policies enforced, ages 18+ only). Feel free to come out and support (plus, get a few freebies)!

To participate as a runner (or walker - no judgment here), register yourself and friends/family by following this tutorial. Once registered, you will receive an email with event materials, including a pledge form. After that, it's time to fundraise by asking friends and family to support your run! You can raise funds right here on RunSignUp by following this tutorial, or you can collect cash and/or checks (written out to Exodus Place) and keep track using your pledge form. If you're not fundraising online, make sure to submit your pledge form along with any cash and/or checks by mailing to the address below before October 2nd, 2020, so we can total up the funds you raised and enter you in our competition (read more below).

Between September 25th - 27th, log your miles, raise funds, and submit your best photos by posting to Facebook and tagging @ExodusPlace to compete with other participants in our three competition categories! If you'd like to run as a team with friends or family, create a group by following this tutorial.

Become a Winner!

$100 Visa Gift Cards will be awarded to individual winners in these three categories:

• Most distance logged September 25th-27th
• Most funds raised September 25th - October 2nd
• Best photo submitted September 25th-27th by tagging @ExodusPlace on Facebook (judged by Exodus Place staff)

A $200 Visa Gift Card will be awarded to the group who logs the most distance (*combined total of top 4 runners in group).
