Description
The inaugural Mississippi Blues Marathon and Half-Marathon, presented by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, is scheduled for January 5, 2008 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Course Info
The inaugural Mississippi Blues Marathon and Half-Marathon will take place in Jackson, the capital city of Mississippi. The race will start and finish in the historic Fondren district, winding through downtown Jackson into the beautiful oak-lined streets of Belhaven, passing by the home of renowned Southern writer Eudora Welty. After Belhaven, the course heads out Lakeland Drive through the City of Flowood before coming back through north Jackson and into Fondren. The course is hilly and challenging, with a flat straight section between miles 13 and 19.

The course for the Mississippi Blues Marathon and Half-Marathon has been measured and certification is pending with USATF.
