DESCRIPTION  Join the Caroline County Humane Society for their 2nd annual 5k Run/Walk on the flat loop fast course.  Course includes the town's rail trail & scenic farmland.

RACE LOCATION:  Martin Sutton Memorial Park; Ridgely, Maryland

RACE TIME:  Saturday October 24th, 2020 at 9:00 am

RACE REGISTRATION:

• $25.00 Pre Race Registration 
  • $25/participant on or before October 23rd

• 13U VIRTUAL runners & walkers get a "Youth Discount" of $15.00 Registration Fee.  If you are registering and you are 13U all you have to do is email organizer Joanne Shipley at jship[email protected]  and she will give you the discount code.

RACE COURSE:   Flat loop course include town’s rail trail and scenic farmland outside of Ridgely. Start at Martin Sutton Memorial Park to Sunset Blvd., to Cow Barn Road, loop around on Oakland Road, to Rail Trail, back up Sunset to finish at the Park.

SAFE RUNNING & RACING:   The Seashore Striders encourage you to run & race safely during the 5k and discourage the gathering of runners before and after due to Covid guidelines for this event.   Please stay more than 6' from each other if running with someone.  https://www.runnersworld.com/news/a31439358/running-during-coronavirus/

RACE TIMING:  Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc will be using a Chronotrack Chip Timing system to time the event.  Times will be posted at www.seashorestriders.com

RACE AMENITIES:  Short sleeved shirts to all participants, water at the start & finish, No Water stop due to Covid guidelines, and "Grab & Go" refreshments provided. Shirt not guaranteed for day-of registration. 

AWARDS: Overall Male/Female Champion, as well as the top three finishers in eight 5K age groups from 13 & under to 70 & up

REFUNDS/DEFERRAL:T he Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:  1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.   2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.  3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.  Thank You for your cooperation & understanding as some situations are beyond the control of the Seashore Striders.
