Description

Parks and Recreation is teaming up with Kiwanis for a socially distanced 5K to help fund inclusive playground equipment in our City parks. You'll have one week to track your run using a fitness app of your choice and submit your time for place prizes (see your registration receipt for detailed information). The first 300 entrants will receive a Santa suit or race shirt to wear during their run, and photo submissions qualify you for raffle prizes. Kiwanis volunteers will pop down the chimney to deliver your Santa suit and race-day goodies, or you can pick them up in advance at the Recreation office.

For kids 11 and under, check out the 1K option! Receive one free 1K entry per paid 5K entry (please call the office to register for the free entry). $10 late fee for registrations after December 3, and no registrations will be taken after Wednesday, December 9. Late registrants are not guaranteed Santa suit or race shirt or delivery option.

Packet delivery Saturday, December 5. If you would rather pick up your packet you can at the Parks and Recreation office at 1340 Gunnison Ave. starting Monday, December 7, 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00. For place and category prizes send a screenshot of your run from your activity app. For raffle prizes send pictures in your Santa suit or shirt.
