Description
Run the Rockies is one of the oldest running events in Colorado!!! This
years event includes the entire weekend and will now be chip timed.
The 10K/Half Marathon from Copper Mountain to Frisco will continue as
our featured event on Saturday. The Half Marathon is 75% downhill and
the 10K is 100% downhill. On Sunday, we have added a 5K trail run/walk
at the beautiful trails on the Frisco Recreation Peninsula. The 10K is
part of the 2012 Colorado Runner Racing Series!!
SCHEDULE OF
EVENTS-SATURDAY, JUNE 916:30 am Day of event registration/packet pick-up
begins at Frisco Recreation Building, 3rd and Main
7:00-8:00 am Bus Transportation to the Start at Ten Mile Creek Bike
Path, Hwy 91 and I-70 (across from Copper Mountain Resort). For you
coffee drinkers-there is a Sky Chutes Coffeehouse located at the
START-NO TRANSPORTATION AT CONCLUSION OF RACE BACK TO THE START
8:30 am Start of 10K & Half Marathon
PLEASE NOTE, the course closes at 11:45 am and timing will
cease.SCHEDULE OF EVENTS-SUNDAY, JUNE 1027:45 am Day of event
registration/bib/chip pick-up begins at the Frisco Day Lodge at the
Peninsula Recreation Area
9 am START of 5K-there will be an aid station at approximately the half
way point of the course. Course will close at 10:15 am. Refreshments,
awards and give-aways will follow.ENTRY FEES35K Run/Walk, 10K Run/Walk;
$30, Half-Marathon $40
Register for Saturday and Sunday and save $5 off your entry fee (10K
Saturday, 5K Sunday = $55 or Half Marathon Saturday, 5K Sunday = $65)
Registration fee includes entry into the event, great refreshments &
give-aways, a specially designed T-shirt, chip timing and bus
transportation to the start for the 10K/Half Marathon. A late fee of
$5/person will be added the day of each June 9 or 10.

those registering for the combined Saturday & Sunday events, you
will pick-up your bib/chip for the specific race on the day of the
event. You WILL be able to pick-up your t-shirt on Saturday. This is
done to alleviate the inevitable lost bibs/chips that occur when
distributed together-your understanding is appreciated. Saturday

Top 3 male/female in the 5K/10K & Half Marathon as follows: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
1st place winners receive a prize from Salomon. An awards table will be
available for age group winners to receive their awards immediately
after the results are posted on both Sat/Sun.

TRANSPORTATION, SATURDAY, JUNE 98Buses will leave promptly from the
Frisco Recreation Building beginning at 7 am to take you to the start
for the Half Marathon/10K. The last bus leaves at 8:00 am. There is NO
transportation from the finish back to the start at the conclusion of
the race.T-SHIRTS9T-shirt size and availability not guaranteed for day
of event registrations. T-shirts not picked-up, WILL NOT be mailed after
the event.
