_ The 2021 Dan Robinson Memorial 5K Run/Walk:

The Grant Playground and Rec Association are happy to announce that the Dan Robinson Memorial 5K Run/Walk will be returning in 2021!

This event is held in memory of the late Dan Robinson whose love for God, country, and the community was well-known in Grant. Dan was instrumental in the formation of GPRA and laid the groundwork for the development of Kidtopia playground. The proceeds from this event will benefit Kidtopia and help support its continued needs. The course begins and ends at Grant Town Park and travels through the town's neighborhoods. All proceeds from the race help fund the continued needs of Kidtopia Playground.

The course: This is a USTAF certified 5K walk/run ROAD RACE and will begin and end at Grant City Park and will travel through the town of Grant. The course is mostly flat with a few inclines. Water and first aid station will be set up near the halfway point. Complimentary, nutritious snacks will be available to participants before and after the race.

You have two ways to participate:

1.) Male and female divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
2.) Sleep-in Option: If you want to support our cause but simply aren't interested in getting up to a race, consider the Sleep-In Option. All sleep-in registrants will receive a race day t-shirt and enjoy the cozy comforts of your own bed on race morning. T-shirts can be collected near our registration table until 1:00 pm the day of the race.

All registrants will be emailed important event information prior to race day.

IMPORTANT!!! YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER BEFORE 12:00 AM CST ON SATURDAY, APRIL 17, TO RECEIVE A RACE DAY T-SHIRT. YOU MAY CONTINUE TO REGISTER UP UNTIL 12:00 AM CST ON SATURDAY, APRIL 24, 2021 BUT WILL NOT RECEIVE A T-SHIRT. WALK-UP REGISTRATION IS NOT ALLOWED.
