_ The 2021 ANC Critter Crawl 5k and Yeti Dash:

ANC Critter Crawl and Yeti Dash

The Alabama Nature Center (ANC) will host the Critter Crawl 5K and Yeti Dash February 20th, 2021! This 5K trail run is like no other! The Critter Crawl is a TRAIL RUN benefiting the ANC education programs that takes runners through a portion of the ANC's 5 mile trail system.

You will not want to miss out on the ANC Yeti Dash! The Yeti Dash is a 1 mile trail system run. Nature/critter costumes are mandatory for any guests who wish to participate in the Yeti Dash. Any guests who do not dress in costume will not be eligible to win a Yeti Dash medal. This is an all-out race to beat the Yeti, can you survive?

Due to COVID-19 related circumstances and to help ensure the safety of our race participants, staff, and volunteers, we have decided to make a few changes to the Critter Crawl 5k and Yeti Dash for 2021. These changes will only be in effect for the 2021 race. We hope to resume the Critter Crawl as normal in the future. Below are some of those changes:

***For 2021 only, all Critter Crawl 5k race participants will receive a custom one time only finisher medal! These finisher medals will be different from our normal top 3 place medals from previous years. Finisher medals will be given out as race participants cross the finish line after completing the Critter Crawl 5k on your way out. In addition, all Yeti Dash race participants will receive a finisher medal.

Please bring a mask with you to wear during packet pick up/registration and to wear in instances where you may be within 6 feet of person from a different household. You do not have to wear your mask while on the trail running the 5k.

***For 2021 only, to help ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, and race participants, we have decided to not host our traditional trophy ceremony and included activities. Trophy ceremony activities including food, music, vendors, water, and door prizes will be postponed until 2022. Instead, all Critter Crawl 5k race participants will receive a custom one time only finisher medal! Make sure to wear warm athletic clothes since it will likely be cold. Parking will be in the pavilion meadow.

While you are here, be on the lookout for the elusive Yeti, you just might be able to snag a picture with him!

Shirts are guaranteed for participants registering before January 31, 2020. Extras will be ordered but run out fast.

Day of registration fees are as follows:
