Bright Beginnings is a fully accredited child and family development center dedicated to homeless families with young children in Washington, DC. The center provides free, full day, year-round developmental care for preschoolers whose families live in shelters or transitional housing. Kids have the opportunity for a solid educational foundation and their parents have the opportunity to gain self-sufficiency. Please help us reach out to the homeless children of DC by supporting this year's race!
Directions1From DC: From the district, take 15th St. south through the Mall and past the US Treasury building. 15th will bear left and merge with Maine Ave, take an immediate right following signs for I-395 South. Get in the left lane and follow signs for "Hains Point Golf and Tennis" to Ohio Drive. Take a right on Buckeye Drive. Parking monitors will direct you to public Lots A, B, C and other available locations. Please do not park in National Park Service lot.Directions From VA2From Virginia: Take I-395 North over the 14th St. bridge. Once on the bridge, get in the right lane. Take the first exit on the other side of the bridge, the sign will read "East Potomac Park - Park Police". Parking monitors will direct you to public Lots A, B, C and other available locations. Please do not park in National Park Service lot.PARKING NOTICE3PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY. Allow ample time to find parking and walk to registration area and race starting line. Registration will be open at 7:00 am.
