_ The 2019 Independence Rhode Race:
The Independence Rhode Race will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019. In partnership with the Bristol Fourth of July Committee, the half marathon presented by Tufts Health Plan, will follow the beautiful downtown streets of America’s quintessential community when it is decked out in its finest - during the Oldest 4th of July Celebration in America. The course includes incredible historic homes, a town common and the America’s Cup Museum before heading out along the scenic coastline, through Colt State Park and finishing along the water at Independence Park.

Please Note: The Independence Rhode Race will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You must show your ID when picking up your registration materials. There are no age restrictions to this race.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is recommended at Guiteras School, the free Bristol Town lots or on street parking.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Registrations are not transferrable but you can defer your race entry within one year to any race in our race portfolio. Deferral requests must be received before on line registration closes, typically 2 days before race day. Please visit this link for steps to complete this procedure.
