At A Just Harvest, we’ve worked to end hunger and poverty in the Rogers Park area for over 38 years. This summer, we’re aiming to raise $45k to keep our doors open and continue to feed the community every single day, even during the pandemic.
On May 5th we are kicking off our 5 Week Challenge for Community Wellness!
STEP 1: Set a Wellness Goal! This is a chance for anyone & everyone to engage with their personal and communal wellness. Self care looks different for everyone, so there's no wrong way for folx to participate. Run, bike, pray, cook, meditate, write, sing, eat-- we want people to do whatever gets them connected to loving themselves and others.
STEP 2: Spread the love! Set a fundraising goal, then share what you're doing with friends, family, and frenemies and explain that you're working on your own wellness to help raise awareness and funds for the greater wellness of your community with A Just Harvest. For every milestone you accomplish, broadcast to your network about how you're feeling, and why you think #CommunityWellness is important too. A Just Harvest will be sharing details about our work for inspiration along the way. ;)
There is no fee to participate in the virtual portion! We just ask that folx set a personal fundraising goal in their challenge. No amount is too great or too small: it all goes to fight hunger in Rogers Park, Chicago and beyond.
Since things are slowly starting to open back up, we will be including an optional 5K for participants to run on June 12th as a finale to the 5 week long virtual wellness challenge. The fee for this registration is $25.00, separate registration required.
