The Mother’s Day 5K will be in-person this year in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC. The Mother’s Day 5K is the new family tradition to starting off your Mother’s Day weekend by celebrating all that is special for the Moms out there. Although the event is designed to celebrate the Moms and Moms to be, we encourage the entire family to participate….yes, Dads and boys too. The event promotes a healthy lifestyle with a focus on fun, family, and community spirit! 

Sign up for your wave...ROLLING START!  We will have wave start options every 20 minutes for you to choose from starting at 8am.  We will do 100 people per wave with a rolling start.  For example, if you sign up for Wave 1, you can start anytime between 8:00 and 8:20am.  Wave sizes could be subject to change depending on updated covid restrictions.  Please be flexible with us.

Race Location:

The race will start and finish in the parking lot behind LA Fitness, next to Pike's Nursery.

There will be NO PACKET PICK UP on race day due to Covid protocol.

Packet Pick Up

Participants will pick up their bibs, t-shirt, and any other giveaways during packet pick up. 

*You can pick up a packet for a friend or family member.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT PACKET PICK UP

Every participant will receive a t-shirt that signed up before May 1st. Shirts are ordered based on the sizes indicated during online registration. NO SWITCHING SIZES – NO EXCEPTIONS!

Kid’s Dash

We will NOT be able to host the kids dash this year due to Covid restrictions.

Timing

We are happy to partner with Run Charlotte to time the race using Chronotrack Timing Systems.

Age divisions

Overall, Masters, 12 and under, 13-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Awards

5K: Top 3 Males and Females in all divisions will receive awards. 

Claiming Awards

As results become available, runners will be able to claim their awards with instructions from the race after the event takes place.  There will be NO award ceremony this year due to Covid restrictions.

NOTE: Sisu Events reserves the right to add/delete categories and awards prior to race based on participation.

Refunds and Transfers

Registration fees are non-refundable. Event registrations are non-transferable between individuals, events, or years.

Weather Policy

Races are held, rain or shine, unless Sisu Events determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend or race day by Sisu Events and local law enforcement officials. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather there will be neither refunds nor transfers. This position is consistent with USA Track & Field recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of running. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, Sisu Events reserves the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race.

Entertainment

We are so excited to have AAA Entertainment at the Start and Finish line to energize the runners and maintain the fun!
