On Saturday, September 18, join Des Moines Park and Recreation for the 2021 Mayor's Annual Ride and Run (MARR)! This annual event supports our trails. Mayor Frank Cownie will lead the ride. In addition to the ride, Des Moines Parks and Recreation will offer a 4-Mile Run and 1-Mile Family Fun Walk to the day's events.

The approximately 20 mile bike ride starts at Principal Park (1 Line Drive) and will go Lake to Lake - traveling from Gray's Lake to Easter Lake prior to ending back at stadium.

Adult Registration Fees = $35.00 per adult before September 18 | $50.00 on-site

Youth = $5 for ages 5 through 18 years | Children 4 and younger are free

The registration fee for adults includes a t-shirt, an entry to win a free bike, and packaged snack at Principal Park from 8:30 - 10 a.m., refreshments at a rest stop along the route, and good company! The registration fees for youth includes a packaged snack, refreshments at the rest stop, and good company.

The 4-Mile Run and the 1-Mile Family Fun Walk will start at Principal Park (1 Line Drive) with the route consisting of downtown trails. The run will begin at 8 a.m., allowing time to hop on a bike for the ride for just an additional $5.

Packets can be picked up at Des Moines Parks and Recreation Administration Office located at 1551 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy Monday, September 13 - Friday, September 17 between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
