Brief Description1Join us for the 3rd Annual Kohl Elementary 5K Run/Fun Walk. This exciting and fun-filled event is designed for competitive runners as well as recreational runners and walkers of all ages. Proceeds will be utilized to help purchase playground equipment for children with disabilities at Kohl Elementary School.Features2Event features include: Official USATF certified course; Professional and experienced chip timing by Colorado Race Timing with same day race results; Free technical T-shirt with every registration; Water station along the route; Police safety at road crossings; and a free kid's 1/2 mile fun run around Kohl Elementary School.Cash & Prizes3Cash prizes will be awarded to both Men's and Women's 1st ($100)*, 2nd ($75), and 3rd ($50) place finishers. Age group prizes to the top male and female finisher in the following categories; 9 & under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. A $52 cash prize will also be awarded to the 52nd place overall finisher to celebrate our Anniversary! In addition, random giveaways including gift certificates, hotel stays, and other great prizes will also be awarded.Unser Racing Dash 4 Cash4* First place male and/or female who breaks the course record (15:39 men, 18:26 women) will receive a $100 bonus!Post-race Fun5Refreshments, abundant snacks, and goody bags will be provided after the race to all registered participants.Additional Information6Race will be held rain, snow, or shine. In the interest of safety and fairness to competitive runners, no dogs are allowed. Families with strollers are welcome to participate toward the back of the run/fun walk.Parking7Parking is available on side streets around Kohl Elementary School, or at the Lutheran Church of Hope at 1305 W. 10th Ave.Proceeds8All proceeds will help purchase playground equipment for children with disabilities at Kohl Elementary School.
