Why?

JOURNEYS exists to be a consistent source of hope for clients living in an inconsistent period, guiding them to housing stability and self-sufficiency. Proceeds from the JOURNEYS Superhero 5K go towards JOURNEYS daily mission to provides shelter, social services, and housing to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in 37 towns in north/northwest suburban Cook County.

VIRTUAL - Anytime and anywhere between June 19th and June 30th, 2021
Please practice any social distancing ordinances in your area

How?

The Superhero 5K run/walk can be completed in person on June 19th or in your own neighborhood, on your favorite running trail, at the park, or even on the treadmill. If you choose to complete the virtual Superhero 5K, use a running/walking tracking app via smartphone or a smartwatch to track your progress while on your run/walk between June 19th and June 30th, 2021. Some popular phone apps are Runkeeper, Map My Run, and Strava.

Tag your photos on Instagram and Facebook with #JourneysSuperhero5K.
 

Be A Fundraising Superhero 

The top individual and top team fundraisers of 2021 Superhero 5K, across all events, will be rewarded for their efforts with a super special superhero prize.
The top individual and top team fundraisers will also be displayed on the homepage of our Superhero 5K website.
The winner of this prize will be determined after the virtual superhero events close on June 30th.

You do not have to be participating in the race to be a fundraising superhero!

About JOURNEYS The Road Home

JOURNEYS | The Road Home is a non-profit agency that provides both shelter and social services to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in 37 towns in north/northwest suburban Cook County. The mission of JOURNEYS is to individually assess and serve its clients while broadening community awareness and involvement. (All proceeds from the race help JOURNEYS continue our mission)
