_ The 2021 Winter Park Half Marathon & 5K:
 

Push your limits with these stunning, remote races in the heart of the Rocky Mountains - located just 60 miles outside of Denver! Our Half Marathon and 5K are perfect for athletes of all levels, but will be sure to challenge you as you enjoy the breathtaking mountain views! All proceeds from this event benefit the Shining Stars Foundation, a local nonprofit that provides therapeutic social and recreational services to children with cancer. 

Location: Grand Park in Winter Park, CO

If you are coming from Winter Park on Hwy. 40, the race is on your LEFT as you are leaving downtown, immediately after The Foundry and before the Century 21 Real Estate Offices and Shell Gas Station. Please look for Shining Stars Foundation signs indicating when to turn and where to park. Parking will be in the lot next to The Foundry and Grand Park Recreation Center. Overflow parking will be across Highway 40 near Cozens Ranch Museum.

Half Marathon Course: Click here to view course map. Click here to view the course profile on MapMyRun. The course takes place almost entirely on remote dirt roads and trails. It is an out-and-back course beginning at approximately 8,700 ft. and traveling above 9,500 ft. Climbs and descents are fairly mellow for a mountain race, but we promise it will be challenging. Aid stations will be on course complete with water, sports drink, and fruit. This race has a time limit - racers must be to mile 9 by 10:30AM.  8AM Start.

Prizes: The top 25 runners in each race will receive a commemorative medal. All other runners will receive a Shining Stars Foundation hat.
