_ The 2021 Raymond Zacchera Memorial Scholarship 5k:
 

The Avon Lions Club is proud to present its 5th annual event in support of the Raymond Zacchera Memorial Scholarship.

The Scholarship is presented annually in honor of our Charter President, Ray Zacchera who served the Avon Lions Club for over 50 years.  Ray was active in many local organizations, served as Town of Avon Police Constable and was a member of the Board of Selectmen.

The flat, scenic race winds around Spring Lake, along packed gravel and hardpan trails.  Current Connecticut guidelines do not require masks for outdoor events, so we are looking forward to returning to a more normal race experience this year.  If guidelines change prior to race day, we will adjust as needed.
