_ The 2021 Joe's Jog For a Cure 5k Race and 1 mile fun run:
The Joe DeWaele Memorial Foundation is hosting the 1st annual Joe’s Jog For A Cure 5K/1 Mile Fun Run.
It is our intention to honor our son, Joe, whom we lost to Hypodiploid Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2019 at the age of nine. Joe showed us all what it means to be brave and strong and never once gave up. Joe loved being a part of his running club at school which is the inspiration behind the creation of this event.
All proceeds will go to benefit pediatric cancer research for Hypodiploid Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This rare subtype is what Joe fought for 9 months.
We hope you can join us over the holiday weekend as we remember Joe and give thanks for the opportunity to give back in the hopes of one day finding a cure. Please visit our website to follow more events for our foundation: www.joestrong.org
