_ The 2021 Red Top Road Race at LakePoint Presented by Advance Rehabilitation:
Please join us for the Inaugural “Red Top 5K Road Race at LakePoint” Presented by Advance Rehabilitation Physical Therapy and LakePoint Sports! Race day is Saturday morning, July 24th, at 8:30 AM.
Come and be a part of this amazing inaugural 5K that follows the new LakePoint Parkway that connects the LakePoint Sports Complex to Red Top Mountain Rd. Departing from the LakePoint Sports South Campus, you’ll get to experience the tremendous views of the surrounding North Georgia mountains as this brand-new race route flows along one of the newest and most scenic roadways in all of Northern GA. The challenge comes early with an initial quick climb that will take you up to a flat 2 mile stretch of racing! But what goes up, must come down… as you’ll enjoy a nice decline straight to the finish! Runners and Walkers of all levels are welcome and this is a Rain or Shine event. And after the race and awards presentation, plan to stay on LakePoint campus because your race bibb & race t-shirt will be your free complimentary ticket to watch some of the top youth athletes in the country!
Race Day Schedule of Events:
*7:00 AM Race Day Registration Opens
*8:15 AM Race Day Registration Closes
*8:30 AM 5K Start Time
*9:45 AM 5K Awards Presentation (in front of the LakePoint Sports “Champions Center”)
*$25 Pre-Race Registration Runs until 11:00 PM, Sunday July 18th. You must register by this date to guarantee your T-shirt size!
*$35 Race Day Registration Fee
Awards will be given to the following:
*Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female Winners
*Top Masters Male and Top Masters Female Winners
*Top 3 Male & Female in the following Age Categories: 14-Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over
Parking and Race Start-Finish:
*Race Day Parking will be located adjacent to the LakePoint Sports “Champions Center” located at 261 Stars Way, Cartersville, GA 30121
*The Starting Line will be located directly in front of the Champions Center
*The Finish Line will be located on the North Side of the LakePoint Connector. (See attached Route Map for details.)
Pre-Registration Packet Pick up:
*Pre-Registration Packet Pick up will be held Friday, July 23rd, from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM at the LakePoint Sports "Champions Center" located at 261 Stars Way, Cartersville, GA 30121. Please make every effort to attend pre-registration packet pick up to minimize lines and your wait time on race day morning!
Race Route (See attached Route Map):
• The starting line will be near front of Champions Center
• Head South on access road to Stars Way and Turn RIGHT
• Continue to the light of LakePoint Parkway Turn RIGHT
• Follow LakePoint Parkway, crossing through the light and over Old Allatoona Road to go up the hill to LakePoint North Campus.
• Stay North on LakePoint Parkway until the dedicated U-turn to head back South on LakePoint Parkway
• Cross the bridge, and the finish line will be on the downhill between Taco Bell & QT.
