Howell Recreation and presenting sponsor ChemTrend proudly present the 44th Annual Howell Melon Run 5K (we welcome runners, walkers, and those racing in wheelchairs and other assistive devices) on August 13, 2021 at 6PM in beautiful downtown Howell.

This year's race will have a Stay Safe Plan which will include having a Wave Start with runners starting in waves every 10 minutes. Each wave will have a max number of participants. The participants will be required to pick which wave time slot they want when registering. This will allow for participants to be spaced out at the start of the race, along the course and at the finish line. We ask all participants and visitors at the race to be conscious of space. There is no mask requirement at this time for the race (6/21/21).

Shirts and bibs will be distributed on Aug 9-12 at the Oceola Community Center at 1661 N Latson Rd, Howell. We ask that you try to pick up your items in advance if possible but we will also have them on site for race day starting at 4pm. We will send out a reminder email with details when it gets closer.

100% of the net proceeds go to providing community programs for the Howell area.

Registrations on or before 7/25/21 are guaranteed a 50/50 short sleeve shirt. Registrations after that date will not receive a shirt. Participants will also receive a coupon for a free scoop of the delicious Howell Melon Ice Cream from the Howell Rotary.

Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site.

Awards: 5k - Overall Awards Male and Female and Masters Male and Female. Awards for top 3 finishers in each age group. The race will be chipped timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
