_ The 2021 COVE Benefit Beach 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run:
The COVE 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run begin and end at Charles Mears State Park. All of the races will be officially timed by RunSignUp. The 5K Run/Walk race route includes a combination of pavement, dirt road, with a 1/2 mile on the beach to the finish line. Participants may get their feet wet if it is a windy day with high waves on Lake Michigan. The 10K Run route will be on local streets and pavement until the runners reach the beach at Duna Vista. The race route then extends for 2.5 miles on the beach along Lake Michigan. Participants may be their feet wet if it is a windy day with high waves. The COVE Beach Walk/Run is a unique opportunity for participants to run along the Lake Michigan Shoreline.

For the Virtual Event choose a favorite place to complete the
5K Run/Walk or 10K Run/Walk between August 1st - 7th.
Registration Fee for Virtual Events: $25
(Fee will include a custom T-shirt and a finishing certificate)
You will need to keep your own race time and submit on-line to confirm the completion of your race. All confirmed finishers will receive a custom COVE Beach Walk/Run T-Shirt and a finishing certificate. We are requesting, if possible, that you pick-up of your T-Shirt and certificate from Lynne Cavazos, Race Coordinator or at the COVE Office in Ludington.
