_ The 2021 Be Well at ECHRS 5K Run/Walk:
 

We encourage you to join Eaton County Health & Rehabilitation Services in our 6th Be Well at ECHRS 5K Run/Walk. This will mark the 6th anniversary of this healthy fundraising event for ECHRS.   We are currently organizing this as an in-person attendance event.  As time approaches, if the COVID 19 virus impacts the event and we have to change the format we will contact all registrants.  

Date:  Saturday, July 31, 2021

Start Window:  7:30-8:30 am  Come any time during the hour race start window (7:30-8:30 am). When the starting line is clear go ahead and start your race.  No more than 5 people will start at a time. You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line. Start when you are ready and at your own pace! 

Location:  Eaton County Health & Rehabilitation Services, Outpatient Therapy parking lot at 1027 Health Care Drive, Charlotte, MI. 

We will be modifying the format of this event to follow safe social distancing practices.  Participant packets will be distributed on the day of the event with social distancing guidelines followed including temperatures obtained. Pre-Registration only, no race day registration will be available.  Participant packets that will include event logo short sleeve t-shirt, bib, and participant giveaways will be placed in zipped baggies.  If you do not feel well the day of the event, please do not attend.  We will make sure that your packet is sent to you ASAP.  There will be plenty of hand sanitizer and masks available for those who come without a mask.  You will be asked to wear a mask before and after the event.  You can remove your mask once you begin the race.  

Refreshment packets will be handed to runners/walkers as they cross the finish line which will include a bottle of water, healthy snacks, and apple/banana. The event location has a very large parking lot enabling all runners/walkers to safely socially distance themselves while cheering other participants across the finish line. 

Special pricing for families $45 for a family of 3-5 members thru 7/18, then $60. Special pricing for ages 18 and under. See Event Info tab for details. Special pricing automatically applied during checkout.

Register by July 12th to be guaranteed a t-shirt! 

Registration for the race ends on Friday July 30th. No race day registration will be available.

Results will be live during the race on this web site.

All proceeds benefit:  A special Saebo Virtual Reality System Fund ($17,000 fund goal) within The Healing & Healthcare Foundation is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization.  This rehabilitation system will provide patients who have suffered CVAs or some other neurological disorder with a virtual real-life system that challenges the client's endurance, speed, range of motion, coordination timing and cognition for patients staying at the Healing Center and long term residents of Eaton Gardens.

PACKET/T-SHIRT PICK UP: Saturday, July 31st from 7:00-8:15 am . ** There is no race day registration **

Wellness 101 Outpatient Clinic – 1027 Health Care Drive, Charlotte, MI

7:00 AM – Free parking at Eaton County Health Department and Eaton County Sheriff’s Department – off from Court House Drive and Independence Drive.

7:00-8:15 AM – Packet/t-shirt pick-up at Wellness 101 Outpatient Clinic parking lot, 1027 Health Care Drive, Charlotte, MI

7:30-8:30 AM – Open Start Line -- 5K Run and Walk begins in Wellness 101 Outpatient parking lot on Health Care Drive. 

Each participant will have the chance to win a free 1-hour massage certificate from Renew (massage therapy/acupuncture services at ECHRS), receive a logo short sleeve t-shirt, participant giveaways and complimentary refreshments.   

Awards

Top Male and Female overall individual finishers:  30 minutes free massage certificate from Renew and Playmaker’s gift certificate.  

Top Male and Female finishers in each age divisions (9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over) - 1st place medals

All participants are eligible for a drawing for a 1-hour massage gift certificate from Renew Massage Therapy.
