_The 24th Annual Deer Dash with Run at Home Option:

Come to Monticello, GA for the 24th Annual Deer Dash 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run.  The start/finish will be on the square in downtown Monticello, GA.  Stay afterwards for the 55th Annual Deer Festival.  The entire course is run on paved streets in and around downtown.

A Run at Home Option is available.  Run your 3.1 miles anywhere and submit finish times no later than 12 Noon on Nov. 6 to http://tiny.cc/21DeerDashVirtualTimes.  Run at Home runners are not eligible for race day awards.  Finish time may not be used as a Peachtree Qualifying time.

Event details and schedule

Early Packet Pickup:  Begins Friday, Nov 5 at 1:00PM at Chamber of Commerce.

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:30AM

1 Mile Fun Run: Starts at 7:30AM

5K: Starts at 8AM

5K Course: Course is USATF measured and certified GA19017.  

Awards:

Awards for in-person runners will be presented to Overall Buck/Doe, Masters Buck/Doe, and top three Buck/Doe in age groups beginning 10 and under through 70 and over.  1 Mile First Place Finisher Award Buck/Doe to runner 10 years of age and under. Medals will given to all finishers in the fun run.

Timing and Results:

Gun start and chip timed finish.  Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with complete results posted online at www.classiconestop.com within 24 hours of the event and to  www.classicraceservices.com, www.athlinks.com, www.active.com at a later time.

Shirts and Goodies:

Long Sleeved Shirts are guaranteed in adult sizes and youth sizes to those who register by 4PM on 10/16/21.  Those who register after that date, time and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments and entertainment after the race.

Series Affiliation:

The race is part of the 2021 Black Bag Race Series and Clover Glove Race Series.

Other Info:

In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
