_The 2021 Apple Festival 5K Road Race:

The Apple Festival 5k and 1 mile race is a great way to start the Georgia Apple Festival presented by the Ellijay Lions Club which is celebrating it's 50th anniversary in 2021!

Event details and schedule

45th Annual 5k and 1 mile race, the Apple Festival Road Race is a certified course that starts and ends at the Ellijay Elementary School located off North Main Street across from City Hall.  Race day registration and packet pick up start at 7:00 a.m. in the school gym.  The 5K race starts at 8:00 a.m. and the 1 mile starts at 8:45 a.m.  Walkers, strollers and leashed dogs are permitted.  Awards will be given to male and female overall, master, and grandmaster winners, as well as top 3 male and females in 14 age groups from 10 and under thru 70 and older.   Awards for 1 mile winners under 12 years old in age groups 5 and under, 6-8, 9-10 and 11-12 year old.
