18th Annual 5K Run for Nancy's Kids:

Dr. Nancy Law was a pediatrician at Connecticut Children’s who passed away after a battle with cancer. She is remembered for her kindness and support to children and their families, especially children with complex medical conditions. She understood the importance of concrete support in times of need and before she passed away she started the Nancy’s Kids Fund. Nancy’s Kids Fund is used to help children and their families in times of financial and emotional need. The range of support varies from helping parents with basic needs such as housing and clothing to assistance with medical expenses. The fund has an immediate impact on the quality of life for children and their families at Connecticut Children’s. Each year, this run honors Nancy and her commitment to children and supports Nancy’s Kids Fund. The Run for Nancy’s Kids is supported by the UConn Pediatric Residency Program at Connecticut Children’s and by the Pediatric Scholars Program at the UConn School of Medicine. Pediatric residents and medical students work with faculty from Connecticut Children’s to plan and lead the run each year.
