_ The 2021 Hollis Fast 5K:

The Hollis Brookline Rotary Club has scheduled this year's race on Monday, September 6th, 2021 at 9:00am. Given the time needed to deal with Covid-19 concerns and related vaccination schedules, the new date enables more people the opportunity to be vaccinated prior to our race day. It gives us a better chance to conduct the race in the traditional group start format. The State of New Hampshire's guidelines will dictate the race starting line procedures.

If group starts are prohibited, we will follow current state guidelines using a staggered start with two runners spaced 6 feet apart every 10 seconds. Runners will be lined up, socially-spaced 6 feet apart in order of the fastest runner followed by the next fastest and so on. Details for this method of starting our race would be forwarded via email prior to the race.

We will follow all state guidelines including wearing masks, social spacing between participants prior to, during and at the finish line. 

The Hollis Fast 5K race features a unique and scenic course that drops 224 feet from start to finish. The distance is certified by the USA Track & Field, but because it drops more than one meter per kilometer, official state and national records do not count.
