ABOUT THIS EVENT:

The Buccaneers' Treasure Chests 5K + Fun Run, powered by Jabil, is back both in person and virtually this fall. The event will continue to benefit local organizations in Tampa Bay that specialize in breast cancer research and patient services. Whether it's in person at AdventHealth Training Center, at home on your treadmill, in the park at the break of dawn, or a stroll around your neighborhood, you can participate in the 2021 Treasure Chests 5K + Fun Run on your terms.

The Treasure Chests 5K + Fun Run, powered by Jabil, is a fall tradition that kicks off the NFL’s Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer initiative. This annual event raises funds to support breast cancer research and patient services, with a portion of each registration benefiting four Bay-Area non-profit organizations. Since 2013, the race has generated over $300,000 in support of the fight against breast cancer.

Virtual and 1.5 Mile Fun Run participants are not eligible for awards

CONTINGENCY:

If we are unable to hold a live race (for any reason, including due to COVID-19), the race will still take place in a virtual format. Registrations are not refundable or transferable in such an event. The net proceeds will be directed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation in support of breast cancer research and patient services

100% of the race entry fee is retained by Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation, Inc.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: LIVE RACE

The 5K (3.1 miles) race is chip-timed and participants will receive a bib with a timing chip attached.  The chip will begin timing once you cross the start line, recording your net time until you cross the finish line.  The 1.5-mile Fun Run is an untimed/unchipped event.  Participants will be running/walking on both grass and concrete surfaces of varying terrain starting near the AdventHealth Training Facility and ending on Tampa Bay Boulevard in front of Bucs Beach.  

COURSE DESCRIPTION: VIRTUAL RACE

The Virtual Race means you complete the 5K (3.1 miles) in your local area anytime between October 24-31, 2021.   After you complete your 5K race, share your virtual experience with us on social media using our hashtag #BucsTC5K and share your accomplishment with your friends!  With the virtual race, you are responsible for your own safety. Please do not run on unsafe roads, or areas that have been closed off to the public. Obey the rules of traffic. Please follow all requirements set forth by local, state, and federal authorities.
